Isabel Aks (she/her/hers) is a third-year undergraduate student from San Francisco, California. At UCLA she is currently majoring in Cognitive Science, and supplementing her studies with Specialization in Computing. Isabel loves the community she has found in the lab, and is grateful for the experience and exposure it has given her to various research roles and tactics. Eventually, Isabel hopes to do her own research and is interested in examining how different developmental factors in adolescence account for the spectrum of variability in later behavioral, cognitive, and emotional functioning. Outside of the lab, she is passionate about spreading awareness and education for neurological diseases and mental health, and does so through her club involvement at UCLA. When Isabel is not working, you’ll see her exploring a new running route or recipe, giving tours to prospective students as a UCLA Tour Guide, and jamming out to music with friends.
