Dr. Catherine Hegarty is a Postdoctoral Researcher in UCLA’s Department of Psychology. After completing her undergraduate studies in psychobiology at UCLA, she obtained her PhD in neuroscience from Brown University. As part of the Brown-NIH Graduate Partnership Program, her thesis work was conducted at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH). In 2017, she returned to UCLA to begin her postdoctoral research. Both her graduate and postdoctoral research have employed a multimodal neuroimaging approach to understanding the complex neurobiology of schizophrenia and other psychosis spectrum disorders.
