Candrha Lopez (she/her/hers) is a second-year undergraduate student majoring in Cognitive Science and hopes to minor in ethnic studies at UCLA. She enjoys helping our lab manager while learning about the structure of research and the different tasks and assessments implemented in our lab studies. She is interested in how trauma and major mental illness impact cognitive functions of adolescents and young adults in school and social settings. Candrha plans on conducting an independent project in task and assessment validation in her fourth year. Eventually, she hopes to attend grad school in order to pursue her interest in a career working with adolescents and returning to her community to become a resource to the youth. When she’s not in the lab or working, Candrha likes to indulge in organized crime books and TV, visit nostalgic places in LA, and spend quality time with friends and family!
